I will try not to make your eyes glaze over too much with this...
In nanotechnology (stay with me), there's a doomsday scenario of biological "nanobots" procreating with such gusto that they actually push the rest of us out of existence. These little buggers are called grey goo. Blue goo is the stuff that keeps them in check and lets them do what they were meant to do - help us out.
How does this apply here? Well, besides just liking the sound of the name, I see it as a check on myself to make sure I'm creating stuff whether it be music, photography, a website, etc. that is actually good and not just taking up space and crowding out the rest. So, there you go...
